Jean Newman
BiographyI have loved art all my life and have painted off and on for several years. I am mostly self-taught, along with a few local art classes through the years and more recently sme classes in Georgia.
I have worked as a management analyst for forty-three years; and, then in 2004, I started taking my art more seriously. Most of my paintings are acrylics; however, I also paint in oils and watercolors when I need a change. I grew up in southeast Alabama and most of my art tends to lean toward southern subject matter. From covered bridges in northeastern Georgia, a group of orchids in Florida, or farther north to the shoreline of Maine, my work expresses quite simply the thing that I see and the moods I feel. I love expressing my feelings and I hope that others will receive a blessing through my paintings that are inspired by God's beautiful world. My paintings are represented in many private homes in the southeast as well as Brazil and Germany. |
