About Jeffrey E. Babine
A native of New York residing in Alabama, he received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and his Master of Fine Arts from the University of Arizona in Tucson.
Babine's pencil drawings and charcoal drawings have been exhibited in numerous regional and national art exhibitions such as the 15th Annual Paper in Particular, 24th Bradley National, Alabama Showcase II, 30th and 34th North Dakota Print and Drawing Annual, American Drawing Biennial at the Muscarelle Museum of Art, 33rd Annual National Juried Exhibition at the San Diego Art Institute, and the LaGrange National XII.
Collections include the University of North Dakota, University of Alabama in Huntsville, Mobile Museum of Fine Arts, the BE & K Foundation, the Henry Ford Hospital, and the Wiregrass Museum of Art. Commissions of his pencil drawings, charcoal drawings, and oil paintings are in private collections.

Upcoming Class
Artist Jeffrey E. Babine will be offering a beginning figure drawing course at the Ann Rudd/ Dowling Museum in downtown Ozark starting Saturday, March 28, and ending April 25.
This five-week course meets once a week on Saturdays from 9:30-11:45 a.m. and will teach students the fundamentals of how to draw the clothed figure from life. Cost of the five-week course is $50 plus $5 each class meeting per student for model fee.
Course size is limited to 10 students.
Students need to bring:

- 18-inch by 24-inch drawing pad
- six 4B charcoal pencils
- a box of soft charcoal sticks
- a smudge stump
- a kneaded eraser
- 24-inch ruler
